Actor Sivakarthikeyan was allegedly attacked by fans of actor Kamal Haasan at the Madurai airport. While it is unclear as to why the angry fans gathered around Sivakarthikeyan and heckled him, it is being reported that it was due to the fact that young actor has often talked about him being a Rajinikanth fans and has never mentioned about Kamal Haasan. It was a rude shock for Sivakarthikeyan, who came to Madurai, for an event.The incident occurred when the actor was on his way to Tiruchendur to attend a function along with actors Kamal Haasan and Hansika Motwani. Tension prevailed at Madurai airport after a group of men, manhandled actor Sivakarthikeyan.
Videos of the men pushing Sivakarthikeyan went viral on the internet. Though certain reports claim that there was no truth in the rumours, a video clearly shows a fan in blue shirt hitting Sivkarthikeyan on his back and anohter man in white shirt running through the crowd to hit Sivakarthikeyan again.Fans took to Twitter to express their support for Sivakarthikeyan and in no time, the hashtag #WeSupportSivaKarthikeyan started trending.Journalists were attacked by Vijaykanth supporters while they were holding a protest near Vijaykanth’s home in Chennai. The Chennai police earlier registered a case against DMDK Chief Vijayakanth for spitting on journalists.
